LEE COOPER LAUNCHES NEW DENIM DESIGN PROJECT
For its 100 years, Lee Cooper (leecooper.com) has produced an exclusive range of products from Braille t-shirts to replica copies of vintage army pants, designed and developed in collaboration with some of the world’s most respected designers, celebrities, sporting heroes and iconic brands including Giles Deacon, Jade Jagger, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Alain Mikli, Ora Ito, Linford Christie, Jean Claude Jitrois, Paco Rabane and graffiti artist Shuck from Paris.
Each collaborator will develop with Lee Cooper a branded 100th anniversary product that will be auctioned for charity on the 29/09/08 at the world renowned Drouot Auction House in Paris. At the same time, over in Beijing, the Olympics opening ceremony will launch Lee Cooper’s clothing package for the British Olympic team. A new brand logo, designed by award winning cult designer, Ora Ito will launch the year long program of activity.
To compliment the project, Lee Cooper will be producing a commercial ‘100’ collection with jeans starting at 80–140 Euros, selling in Lee Cooper’s stores across the globe with some of the product being signed by the participating collaborators for the auction.
