Fred Perry to team up with Central Saint Martins
Fashion label Fred Perry has announced a partnership with London arts college Central Saint Martins for S/S’2015, in which 150 students from the foundation course (Fashion and Textiles Pathway) will be invited to exhibit their prowess. Those students will be encouraged to design both the Fred Perry shirt and bowling shirt for the Amy Winehouse Foundation collection to sit alongside with a capsule collection of pieces designed in-house to complement the range.
Four winners will be selected by the Fred Perry design team. They will receive a monetary prize and the opportunity to work hand in hand with the brand’s design and product development teams to carry out their designs and see them manufactured and distributed globally in all Fred Perry Authentic stores as well as at selected retailers.
The Amy Winehouse Foundation is a charity that was established in the singer’s name to help vulnerable young people. Fred Perry will contribute both profits from the sales of the collection as well as a seasonal contribution to the foundation.
