Dolce&Gabbana With Event For London Men's WeekOn 15th June 2013, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana will celebrate the opening of the fourth Dolce&Gabbana boutique in London with an event that will be part of the official London Collections: Men's calendar. For the occasion they will present their Tailoring Collection for men.
The new and unique space, designed and created exclusively for London will be located at 53-55 New Bond Street. "London has always been one of the cities we love the most. It's not by chance that we have decided to open this particular store here. The British sense of style is part of their DNA, it's been part of their culture for ages. Just like in Italy!" the duo commented.
The decision to organize this event within the upcoming London menswear week has caused concern amongst Italian fashion insiders that less international journalists and buyers might visit the upcoming Milanese fashion weeks.
The decision to organize this event within the upcoming London menswear week struck Italian fashion insiders especially after that Patrizio Bertelli, President, Prada and member of the newly named board of directors of Camera della Moda Italiana, suggested not to include designers who were not associated of the Italian Fashion Chamber in the Milan shows calendar.
Actually, at present Dolce&Gabbana and Giorgio Armani are not part of the association.
Insiders suspect that Dolce&Gabbana don't intend participating Milan Mens Fashion Week at all.
