Blutsgeschwister with new store in Munich
On 23rd of January 2013, German fashion label Blutsgeschwister opened its 9th store at Gärtnerplatz 6 in central Munich.
On the opening night, faithful customers, partners, press representatives, friends, employees and others were invited to celebrate in an easy-going atmosphere together with Head of Design Karin Ziegler and CEO Stephan Künz.
The 100 sqm shop is designed with a mixture of traditional, modern and mid-century elements. Nostalgic flower wall papers, antique Singer sewing machines, a kitschy chandelier and an antique sideboard are arranged next to Blutgeschwister-made furniture elements which were developed closely together with Jim Knoepfle Architects.
Like every Blutsgeschwister shop, the store was given an own, locally-connected name: “German Schickeria”, which is a homage to the legends of the Munich schickeria from the 80s, as Karin Ziegler, Blutsgeschwister’s Head of Design explained.
In addition to this new store, the Stuttgart-based label, which was founded in 2001, also run mono-brand stores in Berlin, Stuttgart, Metzingen, Cologne, Hamburg, Nürnberg and Frankfurt.
