G-Star Hosts Marc Newson At Pitti Uomo

G-Star has announced that it will showcase its latest 3D denim innovations along with the G-Star RAW by Marc Newson collection at the January 2013 edition of Pitti Uomo.

To highlight the new collection, Australian industrial designer Marc Newson will attend Pitti and present his new book, a comprehensive overview of his work to date. Taschen recently launched the title, which is called “Marc Newson: Works," and will host an aperitif in its honor at the Art of RAW Gallery on January 9, 2013.

Newson creates a capsule collection for G-Star every season, reproducing the application of his industrial design techniques to fit each individual collection piece. The new fall/winter 2013/2014 collection will include a reversible bomber, for example, with envelope-style pocket closure. Newson will also introduce a new all-over print named Kasuri, which is based on authentic Japanese woven patterns with dyed threads
