H&M launches Maison Martin Margiela CollectionToday, H&M launched its latest designer collaboration with French fashion house Maison Martin Margiela.
According to corporate spokesmen, the launch was a great success already within the first hours after the opening. However - at least when watching the customers at the H&M in Frankfurt am Main this morning - there seemed to be a very poor customer attendance, compared to the hypes of former designer collaborations hosted by the Swedish retail giant.

When wanting to shop the Margiela for H&M collection, customers had to get themselves classified into different color categories which allowed them to each shop only during a limited time slot. Spokespeople explained the lacking queues and crowds by this entrance policy, which made people return only for the time of their shopping slot and not stand in the cold and wait.
Ulrike Wäder of H&M Frankfurt showed very happy with the sales and stated that also in comparison to past designer collaborations, the Maison Martin Margiela for H&M collection was already a success. “It’s wonderful”, she said.
Of the womenswear collection, a blue woollen coat seemed to have sold very quickly, in terms of menswear, especially a greyish-brown shirt, grey leather boots and a grey jacket were sold well within the first hours.
