VIEW IN MUNICH PRESENTS FABRIC TRENDS FOR WINTER 2012/13To get some first impressions of the fabrics trends for winter 2012/13, Munich-based fabric fair VIEW Premium Selection (June 28-29), organized by Munich Fabric Start Exhibitions GmbH, 230 visitors from design, buying and product management from labels such as Closed, Hugo Boss, Cinque, adidas and Windsor came to Prisco Haus in the Bavarian capital.
More than 80 fabrics collections were presenting their new products for the winter season 2012/13. Amongst new exhibitors was the brand Etro. The atmosphere was relaxed and the mood optimistic – important signs after a year of difficult sourcing conditions. One of the important messages was the fact that prices seem to remain more or less stable.
Regarding trends, structured surfaces like fine Bouclé, voluminous haptics and warm appearances were among the most discussed ones. Wool is making its way to the top, being important for indoor clothing as well as for outdoor jackets and coats. Again color is important for the winter season. Red, blue, grey, petrol and brown hues are the most influencing colors.
