UNIFA LAUNCHES HENRY DUARTE SIGNATURE LINE IN GERMANYWith his sexy creations, his love for the right mixture of rock’ n’ roll and trendy luxury pieces, Henry Duarte made himself a name and has already gained lots of celebrity fans for his signature styles. So far, in Germany he is especially known for his successful collaborations with denim label JBrand, but now Duarte’s own label, Duarte No. Q65, which was launched in 2008 will also be available for the German market. Starting this fall, Düsseldorf-based fashion agency Unifa is offering it. „It is a high fashion inspired approach for the contemporary market. The idea behind is to offer beautifully designed clothes with high end details at affordable prices,” says Duarte about Q65.
The f/w 2010 collection of his signature line marks a return to high fashion with androgynous tailoring and a masterful and polished aesthetic. It features luxurious, saturated black, grey and maroon wool, satin, rayon and jersey designed into beautifully draped and tailored separates. Duarte plays with tones and fit, making Q65 dramatic but not austere, fashion-forward but wearable. Menswear-inspired fits – crisp, slim trousers and jackets– are balanced with body-conscious silhouettes like asymmetrical sweater knits, rayon dresses and knits perfect for layering or showing skin. Duarte’s business partner is John Levine, who is a real 'veteran' in Los Angeles’ fashion industry and has successfully launched timeless labels like James Perse, Ya Ya and Ella Moss. High-end retailers like Fred Segal Trend, Forty Five Ten, Maddy’s 390 and Jades are already fans of Duarte Q65 since the launch of the collection.
