QUIKSILVER'S QSW UNVEILS MOUNTAIN DIVISION

This fall Quiksilver's women's line will release a new outerwear collection, designed for mountain outings and drawing inspiration from the brand's heritage. The offering consists of perfectos, padded jackets and trench coats along with 80s-style high-waisted pants and ultra-slim drainpipes all made from technical materials using labels such as Gore Tex®, Quiktec ®, 3M Scotchgard® and thinsulate® to ensure that the pieces are fit to withstand any weather conditions. Quiksilver's signature urban style is brought in as well through the color palette of earth, slate, charcoal, bordeaux, ultra-navy and miro as well as through a variety of textured fabrics, soft linings with refined prints, and leather and metal details.

The main fall/winter 2012-13 collection is inspired by the American East coast with a timeless, feminine look laced with vintage influences. The sweater is a main staple, available in a wide array of cuts in wool or cashmere. Keeping in step with one of fall's main trends, the collection features a large selection of menswear translated into pea coats, blazers, western-style pocket shirts and slacks which are to be paired with delicate silks in the form of girly tops and dresses. Indigo is the season's main color and the poncho its main piece, featured with a capsule collection of bags designed by a young French designer.
