Nicola Formichetti Joins ITS 2013 Contest Jury

International Talent Support, the creative platform conceived and developed by the EVE agency, has just launched its new edition, ITS 2013, presented by OTB.

The new edition will take place on the 12-13 July in Trieste, Italy, and will host Nicola Formichetti and Harold Koda amongst its international team of fashion, costume and lifestyles expert jurors. Nicola Formichetti, the influential and versatile stylist, designer and talent scout is the newly appointed artistic director of Diesel. Harold Koda is curator in charge of the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

This year's 30 finalists - as always - come from all over the world. The countries represented are Bulgaria, China, Cyprus, South Korea, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, Taiwan and the United States. The selected schools are among the most prestigious in the world, including the Japanese school Coconogacco, London’s Royal College of Art, The Institut Français de la Mode in Paris and Parsons The New School for Design in New York.

Also this year each finalist will donate one of their creations to the ITS Creative Archive, which has assembled throughout its over ten years of history, over 11,000 portfolios, 200 outfits, over 120 accessories and jewellery pieces and more than 700 photographs.

Diesel is the main partner of ITS FASHION. The Fashion Design Competition is open to all the world’s academies and universities and to young fashion designers. The Diesel Award consists of a € 25,000 cash prize plus a 6-month internship with the Diesel Creative Team at their headquarters in Breganze (Vicenza). The winner of the Fashion Collection of the Year will receive €15,000 to be used towards the design and realization of a new collection to be showcased at ITS 2014, and will also have the opportunity to be part of next edition’s jury.

Other partners of the initiative include Swarovski Elements, Swatch, Yoox.com and YKK. YKK is the main partner of ITS ACCESSORIES. The YKK Award will assign to the winner a €10,000 cash prize. The Accessories Collection of the Year will assign € 5,000 towards the development of a collection to be showcased out of competition at ITS 2014, on which occasion the winner will also sit on the jury. Moreover, the winner of the Accessories Collection of the Year will be offered the chance by ModAmont - the International Tradeshow of Trimmings and Accessories for Fashion - to run an exhibition of their creations at the next show in September 2013 and feature in the show’s catalogue and website.
