NY FASHION WEEK TRENDS
By Day 4 of New York Fashion Week this week, some key trends had already emerged on the catwalks. For menswear especially, rich red shades of oxblood or burgundy are the color for fall 2012 and dominated looks from such well-known designers as Tommy Hilfiger and Rag & Bone to up-and-coming ones such as Tim Coppens, Number:Lab and Dominic Louis. Prints were a big story at Costello Tagliapetria and Lacoste and the latter label also featured sporty ski-appropriate silhouettes that were also seen at Number:Lab. Denimwise, dark clean looks were important at Raleigh Denim and Native Son. Meanwhile, Duckie Brown offered oversized men’s looks in bold plaids and tweeds that were reminiscent of Japanese design.
