30 Mar. 2011
NEW MENSWEAR SHOW TO BE LAUNCHED IN LONDONA new trade show for men’s clothing called Jacket Required will have its debut in London’s East End on August 7-8, 2011. On over 3,000sqft, there will be a show by 35 menswear brands such as Dockers, Heritage Research, Universal Works, Suit, and Seil Marschall.
The idea for this trade show was born by three insiders of London’s menswear, Mark Batista, founder of London’s innovative To Be Confirmed show and owner of UK sales agency Brand Progression as well as the store ‘Number six’, is one of them. In addition, Andrew Parfitt of Egomark, who carries out the European sales for some directional brands like Kenzo and Lagerfeld; and the third one is Craig Ford who has launched and expanded many prestigious brands, such as Duffer, 6876 and BBC.
They now come together with their years of experience and knowledge to provide a new business platform which avoids the staid and tired of a traditional trade show. Also the gallery venue will create an intimate environment for presenting the menswear collections for selected buyers and press. ‘Jacket Required’ wants to mark and offer the revival of an exclusive and renowned trade show in London.
