MILAN VUKMIROVIC TO DESIGN FOR CHEVIGNONFrench brand Chevignon will cooperate with French designer Milan Vukmirovic and will unveil the new line for f/w 2012/13, Chevignon Heritage by Milan Vukmirovic, at Pitti Uomo in January of 2012.
The new collection is inspired by the brand's own past and made up of eight outfits for men and women and reinterprets the iconic pieces of the label. Being sold in Chevignon boutiques and in selected concept stores and international department stores, Chevignon Heritage by Milan Vukmirovic will have special showcases and corners of their own design and are offered at slightly higher prices compared to the traditional Chevignon ranges.
Creative director Milan Vukmirovic is cofounder of the Colette boutique in the 1990s and pursued a career as design director for the Gucci Group in the Tom Ford era. In 2001, he became creative director of Jil Sander, before he became creative head of Trussardi in 2007. He also designed The Webster concept store that opened in 2010 in Miami.
Founded in 1979 by Guy Azoulay, the Chevignon brand was born as a reinterpretation of the American dream of the 1950s. After being bought by Naf Naf group in 1994, from 2007 it has been owned by French Vivarte group and is distributed via a multibrand network in 25 countries across the world, besides its own 46 stores in France and a hundred more abroad (Colombia, Russia and China).
