MARIUS JANUSAUSKAS WINS THE ITS 2012 DIESEL AWARD

The winner of the 2012 Diesel Award was announced at the final event of this year’s International Talent Support (ITS) competition, which took place on July 14 in Trieste, Italy. The prize went to Marius Janusauskas, a Lithuanian student at the Hogeschool Antwerpen, and was given by Diesel founder and OTB president Renzo Rosso.

As the jury explained, Janusauskas was chosen due to his mature work, which showed strong consistency from idea to execution. The young designer was able to answer the request of creating “a couture interpretation of denim” with a very high quality, interesting proposal.

The Diesel Award includes a cash prize of €25,000 and a six-month internship with the Diesel Creative Team at the company’s headquarters in Italy.

Additional to the Diesel Award, there were six more winner in different categories awarded: 
Fashion Collection of the Year: Ichiro Suzuki-Japanese
Fashion Special Prize: Luke Brooks-British
Avery Dennison Brand Innovation Award: Mark Goldenberg-Israeli
La Febbre del Sabato Sera-The Saturday Night Fever Award: Isabel Vollrath-German
Vogue Talents Award: Mark Goldenberg-Israeli
Modateca Award: Shengwei Wang-Chinese
