MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA TO LAUNCH CHARITY T-SHIRT WITH FRENCH WORDS
In time for the world AIDS day on December 1, Maison Martin Margiela launches its second edition of the charity AIDS t-shirt with French print. Every season, since the 1994 fall/winter collection, Belgium-based fashion brand Maison Martin Margiela has produced the charity t-shirt in different colors with contrasted text every season and bears the text marked below in English.“There is more action to be done to fight AIDS than to wear this t-shirt but it’s a good start”.
Next to the English version, the designer brand decided to create a yearly edition in different languages.
This time it says: “Il y a plus a faire pour cambattre le sida que de porter ce t-shirt mais c’est un bon debut.“
A percentage of the sales is donated to AIDES, a French non-governmental organization dedicated to fight the HIV and hepatitis virus. Over the last years 180.000 t-shirts have been sold and raised more than €750.000.
The limited second edition in French will be available in all Maison Martin Margiela stores and online from December 1.
