KEDS BRINGS SNEAKER ART TO GÖRTZ 17 STORESFootwear brand Keds has organized an installation of “Sneak Art Windows” in corporation with German shoe retailer Görtz 17. This past weekend, the international street artists Ohm-One, Flying Förtress, Low Bros and Herakut have redesigned the windows of the chain’s shops in Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Munich. The urban artists have painted and sprayed “sneaker art” on the windows. The art exhibition will be installed in the stores for the next two weeks.
Keds was founded in 1916 by US Rubber Company. The first model was a shoe with a soft rubber sole, so comfortable and quiet like “sneaking”. This original sneaker, called “the Champion” has remained a style icon for almost 100 year. Today the collection offers more than 125 different footwear styles.
