HUGO PREMIERED FALL/WINTER 2012 COLLECTION

In the early afternoon of January 19, the HUGO Collection for fall/winter 2012 was presented at Berlin’s hallowed “Old Masters Museum,” the Gemäldegalerie. Situated in the heart of the German capital, the museum is home to one of the world’s most comprehensive collections of European painting from the 13th through 18th centuries. The event was venued in the museum's daylit central hall with its stately white columns; some 800 invited guests attended the show. The new HUGO Mens and Womenswear Collections were showcased on a glossy white 400-foot longcatwalk by more than 30 top international models, including Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls, Liu Wen and Mathias Lauridsen.

“Theatre” and “Surreal Nostalgia” headline and inspire a collection that is defined by brilliant contrasts and features precision design, artful tailoring and flowing fabrics. The silhouettes are clean and reductive; modern styles have been interpreted afresh to create a HUGO look that is both minimalistic and luxurious.

The HUGO Show, which was streamed live on www.hugoboss.com, is flanked by an array of companion activities on social networking sites such as Facebook, foursquare and Twitter. After the show, 200 VIP guests such as Georgia May Jagger, Pixie Geldof and Sky Ferreira attended an exclusive dinner.
