Gas bets on UnderwearGas has recently participated in the beachwear trade show Mare D'Amare held in Florence, Fortezza da Basso, between 20 - 22 July, 2013 with the aim to offer insiders their new underwear and beachwear collection.
"We are happy about the experience and especially glad for the possibility to offer an always more complete selection of products as part of our strategy to build Gas as a true lifestyle brand," commented Franco Marianelli, CEO, Gas. The Italian jeanswear brand has just presented its new beachwear line for S/S 2014 which is made up of about 150 pieces, 50% for men and 50% for women and including bathing suits, tops, pareos and other apparel products.
"This new collection offers us the opportunity to expand our presence also in specialised beachwear stores. Our aim is to reach about 500 stores all over Europe and EMEA. We also want to complete our product offer in all of our monobrand stores through which we are expanding in upcoming markets such as China, the Far East and India," continues Marianelli. "In addition, we will be selling the collection to our usual Gas apparel network that presently includes - between Italy and foreign markets - seven flagship stores, 130 monobrand stores, 370 shops-in-the-shop and 1,500 multibrand stores."
After a few tests, the company could also eventually consider the possibility of signing specific agreements with local partners through which they could manage the production and distribution of specific beachwear collections serving specific non-European markets.
