GDS TO DEBUT NEW PRIME SQUARED AREA IN MARCHGDS, the international event for shoes and accessories, is set to grow into a larger fashion, trend-driven trade fair, with new concept formats and stand designs. The next show, Mar. 12-14, 2010, will be focused on bringing the Prime Square section up to speed. A merger of the two concept areas Upper Style Concept and Prime Square will produce a new area called Prime² (Prime Squared). In addition to the individual Upper Style Zone there will be two other concept areas. The White Cubes area will present trendsetting and progressive high fashion while brands in the Prime² section will specialize in contemporary design and tradition-rich, skilled craftmanship. “We are creating a clear structure in Hall 4, making it easier for buyers to find their way around,” said GDS Director Kirstin Deutelmoser. The trend section White Cubes is also getting a new stand design that will give high-quality collections a more sophisticated look. Lightness, warmth and originality characterize the atmosphere of this zone.
