EDWIN CELEBRATES 50th ANNIVERSARY

Famous Japanese denim brand Edwin celebrates its anniversary with a collection in an “old fashioned way”: The “Overwork Factory” collection pays homage to the beginnings of the Japanese label. The collection is manufactured out of original Japanese cotton handcrafted on old and original looms in the traditional Nihon Menpu factory in Japan. The limited number of the “Overwork Factory” collection is available at exclusive stores and its wholesale price range resides between €92 for pants and shirts and €156 for jackets.
The Making-of...

On the occasion of the anniversary, Edwin also teamed up with the lifestyle brands Sivletto and Unionville to produce a modified version of the famous Nashville denim model. Usual two tone stitching has been replaced with a dark copper shade which gives the pants a clean and authentic look just like in former times. These 300 limited and all individually numbered pair of jeans come together with a custom made tote bag.

In 1961 Mr. Tsunemi crafted the first pair of Edwin denim jeans in Japan. In the very beginnings, he repaired and sold second-hand army clothing.
