EDWIN ANNOUNCES FALL/WINTER COLLECTIONDenim brand Edwin Jeans has revealed its fall/winter 2012/13 collection, which will be available beginning in June/July.
The new styles follow the rules of strength and durability in fabric and garment construction. Rugged clothing cut from carefully selected cloth, designed to provide practical, versatile layering options that act as protection against the elements: Heavy knitwear made with recycled yarns in a variety of cable knit and bold striped styles, shawl cardigans, cable crews-necks and heavy gauge roll necks in pepper, navy, eucalyptus tones. Jackets have been constructed using tightly spun, heavy weight armoured twills, printed canvas camouflage and leather, heavily quilted and blanket lined, creating lightweight yet heavy-duty outerwear finished with wash processes giving them a natural look and feel. Specially designed removable ‘shank’ buttons are used on many of the heavier pieces, making them easier to hand wash without damage to fastenings. Unique collaboration pieces using classic blocks have been developed in conjunction with the highly reputed English manufacturer Lavenham, famed for their durable quilted outerwear, using Japanese ‘Black Wool Denim’.
Shirting fabrics have been exclusively developed for Edwin Europe in France by a mill specialising in the very best quality cotton, dye and weave processes. The denim is made of premium Japanese and European fabrics, many exclusively developed for Edwin. Washes are natural and based on rear-wear patterns.
The collection has many subtle details; above all, it is durable and designed for comfort. The garments’ prices range from €85-€200 for pants and €110 - €160 for sweaters and cardigans.
