EASTPAK ARTIST STUDIOS SUPPORT „DESIGNERS AGAINST AIDS“Urban lifestyle brand Eastpak has released the second edition of Eastpak Artist Studios. More than 130 artists, designers, DJs and celebrities from across 17 countries have transformed a blank Eastpak backpack into a unique piece of artwork. The revenues will be donated to the charity organization “Designers Against AIDS” (DAA).
Toon Kympers, product director at Eastpak, said: “Each Eastpak Artists Studio backpack has a unique and creative personality and is a special interpretation of the traditional Eastpak form factor. In this way, Eastpak is reflecting its environment and community.”
DAA was founded in 2004 by the non-profit organization Beauty Without Irony. Its mission is to increase the awareness of HIV/AIDS and to promote prevention as the only cure.
Eastpak Artist Studios was officially launched in Berlin on January 18. Beginning on March 19, the artworks will be available online at a starting price of €55.
