Domus Academy students for RED Valentino
28 Mar. 2011
DOMUS ACADEMY STUDENTS FOR RED VALENTINOMilan-based international fashion and design school, Domus Academy, has started a significant collaboration with the Valentino maison for its younger spin-off collection, RED Valentino. Students who are doing their master in fashion design get the chance design products aimed to become part of the collection, by researching and studying the characteristic "Valentino style".
According to the maison's own guidelines, the students will design both denim items such as jeans skirts, shirts and jackets, plus jersey t-shirts, all of which are completed by typical elements and decors of the designer's own style including the most peculiar Valentino red hue. The students will also study ideas for POP material, corner and shop-in-shop concepts. Eventually, some of the students' results might become part of collections that will be sold in future seasons. Project leader of this special workshop is Paolo Fanara, Product Manager at RED Valentino.
Students of Domus Academy who are doing their master in fashion design will be able to develop skills that will help them become product managers, brand managers, store managers, retail managers, communication managers and fashion buyers in the future.
Domus Academy was born in 1982 as the first post-graduate school of design in Italy. In December of 2009, the school became part of a global education network in fashion and design. The school offers masters for students from all over the world in fields such as accessory design, business design, car design, fashion design, interaction design, interior and living design, urban vision and architectural design, fashion management and service design.
