CPD TO FOCUS ON WOMENSWEAR

Düsseldorf’s fashion fair CPD is launching a new universe of womenswear. The news comes on the heels of a collaboration with the City and the country government NRW that has resulted in an organization called Düsseldorf Fashion Net that was founded to boost the City’s fashion reputation. The institution will put a million into advertising to promote fashion events. The fair, which runs from Jul. 26-28, will have a more modern structure, visually and in terms of contents. Mirjam Dietz, Executive Director Fashion at Igedo Company, explains: “We will experience a very emotional CPD with a powerful communication range.” Subsequently, the new segments at CPD include Impulse, a new platform for selected premium brands for specially invited buyers; Italian Suite, staged in collaboration with Ente Moda Italia (EMI) and which presents selected high-quality, avant-garde designers; Boutique, a showcase for independent womenswear collections; Concept 11, a presentation of lifestyle-oriented collections; Modern Essentials, a platform for powerful market collections and the supersized and maternity sectors; and Decorate –The World of Accessories, a platform for fashion jewellery to bags and scarves. The new CPD presentation will be rounded off with an innovative show concept.
