BOXFRESH NAMED “BRAND OF THE YEAR”UK shoe brand Boxfresh has been awarded the title “Brand of the Year” at this year’s UK Fashion and Textile Association’s (UKFT) Export Awards that took place for the 25th time in Banqueting Hall in Whitehall, London.
HRH The Princess Royal and other selected guests like the International Director of UKFT, Paul Alger, were assigned to present the trophies to the winners. Boxfresh’s honor can be seen as a testament to the brand’s huge international growth, which it had been generating in the UK, Europe and Asia during the past year. “Winning this award gives a boost to the business as we look to enter partnerships in Asia and to continue growing across the globe,” commented Daniel Morris, Managing Director at Boxfresh.
Other awardees included Mary Katrantzou, who was named winner in the designer business category, heritage brand Johnstons of Elgin, which received the HSBC-sponsored Gold Award and UK's largest online fashion store Asos, which was able to take home the prize in the “retailer/e-tailer” category after launching to shoppers worldwide in the past year.
The UKFT Association annually awards successful British fashion exporters for their achievement. This year, more than 300 industry guests including experts like Vogue UK’s editor-in-chief, Alexandra Shulman, attended the awards lunch.
