Show report: Green Fashion Meets Urban Zeitgeist

Green fashion is no longer niche - this impression imposes upon everyone who visits the Berlin trade fairs Greenshowroom in the Kronprinzenpalais and the Ethical Fashion Show at the Ewerk. Both platforms have concentrated.
Their portfolios show sustainable apparel, shoes, accessories and lifestyle products - Greenshowroom is mainly focussed on high end brands, whereas the
Ethical Fashion Show points out casual wear and denims.

The exhibitors of both platforms seemed to be very satisfied with frequency of visitors, organisation and the locations. Silke Handley, who presented her collection in the Greenshowroom, says: "Here, retailers work in a very reflective way, most of them have already concentrated their assortments on green fashion."

But also bigger retailers don't want to miss the eco-fair-lifestyle-trend, she says. "There is a huge dynamic in this market."
At Ethical Fashion Show exhibitors realised that also many e-commerce firms are visiting the exhibition.
"Even Amazon was already here", Ruth Georgi, consultant and agent of denim label Goodsociety says.
