Mountain Affair opens in Bologna

Italian outdoor brand Mountain Affair opened a flagship store in Bologna in the central shopping street Via Rizzoli, 30. The brand is owned by owned by A.R.P. Advanced Retail Project SpA, a leading company in the upmarket sportswear segment. This is the brand’s second Italian flagship, after the recent opening in Rome.
 
Mountain Affair® was founded by entrepreneurs Lorenzo, Marco and Umberto Bassetti and is aimed at aficionados of outdoor sports such as skiing, climbing, ice climbing, hiking, trekking, running, and biking. The brand offers two main collections - Lifestyle and Active.
 
The two-floor store in Bologna designed by Studio di Architettura Saccardo is characterised by a dark grey background and furniture, contrasted with huge screens showing images related to mountain and outdoor life. The floor is made from oak and the lighting system – all based upon LED lamps - plays with shadow and light contrasts.
Completing the store’s offer are also top performance guest brands such as The North Face Summit Series, Patagonia, Black Diamond, Salomon, Scarpa, POC, ASICS and Maui Jim.
  The Italian company A.R.P. Advanced Retail Project SpA is a retail distribution specialist who operates in the flagship store, travel and retail, department stores and outlet sectors. Today A.R.P. operates through over 30 stores based throughout Italy, Spain, Germany and Switzerland in airports, department stores and major shopping streets with companies such as Ferrari SpA for the Ferrari Store project, VF Corporation for the The North Face Store projects, Illy through the Illy Shop concept store and G-Star.
