Moncler requests to be admitted and go public for Italian Exchange

Moncler S.p.A presented the request to be admitted for going public on the Borsa Italiana - Italian Exchange. The companies selling quotas are ECIP M (company controlled by Eurazeo S.A.), CEP III (company controlled by Carlyle Group) and Brand Partners 2 (company controlled by Progressio Investimenti).

Moncler was born in France, in Monastier de Clermont, Grenoble, in 1952. Born as the companion of mountain explorers, the brand considers itself to have been the first to produce a down jacket in nylon with blown feathers directly inside the cut garment. The brand is characterised today by different collections within the luxury market segment. The brand’s main collections are Grenoble, which offers high-tech protection content, the Gamme Rouge and Gamme Bleu, which are characterised by strong design, and the Special Projects, which is characterised by avant-garde and innovative design.

By 30 September 2013, Moncler is working through a network of 122 monobrand stores, of which 98 are managed directly by the brand (DOS), in addition to multibrand wholesale stores. In 2012 Moncler registered €489.2 million sales and an EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) of €161.5 million. The brand presently operates in 60 countries and four geographic areas worldwide - Italy, Europe, Asia/Japan and North America.
