Superga Opens First Store In Hong Kong

Electric Sekki, exclusive licensee for Superga in China and Hong Kong, has recently opened the first mono-brand store dedicated to the renowned Italian sneaker brand. The store is located inside the Harbour City shopping centre, in Hong Kong.



Electric Sekki celebrated the official launch of Superga in Hong Kong and China with a prestigious party and through the launch of the record breaking Largest Shoe in the World, Superga shoe model, as featured in the prestigious Guinness World Record Book. The model is an exact replica of the Superga 2750 measuring 28 x 8 x 11 feet (8.5 x 2.4 x 3.3 meters).



The exclusive party was held at the Marine Deck of Harbour City located right by the waterfront with the amazing Hong Kong skyline as the backdrop. The event was attended by more than 500 of the city’s hip and fashionable including celebrities Alex To, Charles Ying, Carl Ng, fashion designer Barney Cheng, socialite Xuan Mu, Richard Li, DJ Suki, Francisco Ricafort, as well as power couples Alan Lo and wife Yenn Wong, Jolie Chan and husband Marc Rodriguez, amongst many others.



Electric Sekki is a fashion bureau, specialising in strategic distribution, brand management, marketing and PR services in Asia. The company's growing portfolio comprises of over 20 international brands that are distributed in key markets such as China, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Korea, Philippines, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau, India and Vietnam.



The Superga footwear brand was founded in Italy in 1911. The company's original specialty was rubber-soled footwear bearing the brand's unique logo. BasicNet S.p.A. has been the licensee of the Superga name since 2004, and it recently executed an agreement to purchase the Superga trademark.



With its headquarters in Turin, Italy, BasicNet S.p.A. is a licensing and marketing company that operates in the sport and leisure apparel, footwear and accessories sectors in approximately 110 world markets. In addition to Superga, BasicNet's brands include Kappa, Robe di Kappa, K-Way and Jesus Jeans. BasicNet S.p.A. is listed on the Italian Stock Exchange.
