Puma announce new General Manager for Puma China
Sportswear brand Puma have announced that Philippe Bocquillon has been appointed General Manager Puma China as of yesterday, April 11. He succeeds Nicole Au (41), who joined Puma in 2009 and leaves the company to pursue new career opportunities, as it was reported.
The 50-year-old joins the Asia-Pacific Management team and will be responsible for optimizing the efficiency of Puma's business model in China, which is one of the fastest growing and strategically important markets for Puma. Based in Shanghai, Bocquillon reports to Ludovic Manzon, General Manager Asia-Pacific and Japan.
Philippe Bocquillon, who is of French citizenship, was able to build up a profound knowledge of the sports and fashion industry, as well as an understanding of the Chinese market before joining Puma. Since 2004 he has held several leading positions at Adidas, most recently as Senior Vice President of Sales of Adidas Greater China. Prior to this, Bocquillon was operating in the Wine and Spirit, as well as Watch and Jewelry Business, at LVMH Group as Trade Marketing and Country Manager. Bocquillon graduated at the Institut Supérieur du Commerce in Paris and holds an Excecutive MBA from INSEAD, Singapore.
