More than 58.000 visitors attended the Paris fabric fairs

Paris fabric fairs: positive results despite less chinese customersContrary to the expectations – due to the weather conditions and the unfavourable international calendar (Chinese New Year, New York Fashion Week and Carnival of Brazil) – the Première Vision in Paris has ended with a positive result. Almost 44.140 visitors came to see the 734 Première Vision exhibitors and the 42 yarn and fibre producers at the integrated Expofil. Première Vision even recorded a slight increase in attendance, of over 3% in relation to last years edition.
All in all 73% foreign visitors were registered for this edition, despite a decline in the number of Chinese and Brazilian visitors (-23% and -14%, respectively). According to Première Vision it was surprising that the attendance of American visitors rose to over 14%, even though the New York Fashion Week ran parallel. A higher proportion of Japanese (+10%), European Union (+2.4%), and Eastern European (+10.3%) visitors was also registered.
All together over 58.000 visitors, almost 6% more than February 2012, attended the Paris fabric fairs, including the satellite fairs Indigo, Mod'Amont and Cuir à Paris with more than 1.740 exhibitors.
