Karl Lagerfeld opens first concept store in EuropeOn March 1st 2013 Karl Lagerfeld will open his first European concept store in Paris, located in the heart of St. Germain des Près in Paris, 194 Boulevard St. Germain. Karl Lagerfeld: “For me, the 7th arrondissement is the centre of the world; I couldn’t imagine starting with a shop anywhere else.”
The face and the interior of the 200sqm store are held in clean black and white. Regarding aesthetics, the designer will play with contrasts such as; edgy modern and classic, and; shiny and matt. Mirrors and walls of light will form the backdrop for the product presentation.
The store will showcase the complete range of ready-to-wear women’s and menswear as well as accessories such as bags, leather-goods, and shoes. The concept store will also offer sunglasses, watches, and other iconic and limited items curated by Karl Lagerfeld such as photography and design books.
