More Berlin Fashion Fairs & Events to visitTomorrow Berlin fashion circus will open its doors. Among Bread & butter at Tempelhof, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Premium at Gleisdreieck, Bright at Alte Münze, Panorama and Capsule more interesting fashion fairs and events will party the German capital and attract visitors.
Directly alongside the station at the track triangle, Seek, the platform for young, progressive, authentic labels, is presenting selected brands at Kühlhaus 65 – from January 15-17, at the same time as the Premium on a total of more than 1,400 square meters (well over 15,000 square feet) spread across three levels. New brands exhibiting this time around include A Kind of Guise, Canvas x Christopher Raeburn, Common People, Fred Perry Laurel Wreath, Raf Simons x Fred Perry, Porter, Majestic Select and Natural Selection Denim. “Seek offers an excellent brand portfolio that perfectly matches the special requirements of a small but demanding group of cosmopolitan buyers,” according to the fair organizers. The platform is rounded out by a pop-up shop of the Berlin bookbinders Wednesday Paper Works. The fair that was originally developed by Premium in 2007 has already been optimized and extended in recent seasons under Oliver Saunders’ creative leadership.
Bestseller – The Place to be
On Wednesday January 16 the Bestseller group will be holding the third edition of their own fair entitled “The place to be.” On more than 4,000 square meters (43,000 square feet) of the “Magazin” section of the Treptow Arena the Danish fashion group will be presenting their complete brand portfolio, including Vero Moda, Jack & Jones, Only, Selected Femme, Selected Homme, Vila, Pieces, Object, Mamalicious, Outfitters Nation, and Name it, as well as the newly launched plus-size label Junarose. The very latest trends and themes of the collections will be on display. “In its third season too, Berlin is our place to be. We feel very much at home here and are delighted to be presenting ourselves within the framework of the Berlin Fashion Week, says Country Manager Lars Pedersen.
Show & Order
From January 15-17 the order platform Show & Order will be holding its third instalment in the halls of the decommissioned power station in Berlin-Mitte. Similar to the summer event, 200 exhibitors have already signed up for January, including M Missoni, Love Moschino, White Label, and Paul & Joe Sister. New labels at the event include Tibi NY, Cashmere by Tania, and St.Emile. “Our focus is on a charming presentation of brands in a concentrated atmosphere. We will continue working with a compact and focused format – and will not participate in the fair on the Friday,” says manager Verena Malta. On the Wednesday of the trade fair, Show & Order will stay open until 9:00 PM for the first time for an extended round of orders.
The Gallery, organized by the Düsseldorf-based Igedo Company and focused clearly on contemporary fashion, designer and avant-garde collections will be held for the third time from January 15-17 at Café Moskau. Labels which will be on hand include Nör Denmark, Bitte Kai Rand, Sarah Pacini, Peter O. Mahler, Trine Kryger Simonsen, and Oblique. The existing portfolio was already extended last season by international brands and some new additions.
Greenshowroom/Ethical Fashion Show
Parallel to the Berlin Fashion Week (January 15-17) the Ethical Fashion Show will for the third time be presenting sustainable street fashion and casual wear at Berlin's E-Werk, alongside the seventh instalment of the Greenshowroom scheduled at the same time at the Hotel Adlon and is establishing itself as a further platform for eco fashion “Because of the high level of demand in January, for the first time we will be able to completely fill both halls at our location. As a result, the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin will become a pure play trade show. We are giving the sustainability topic its own platform, and are very satisfied with the development of our fair” says Olaf Schmidt, Vice President Textiles & Textile Technologies of the Frankfurt Trade Fair, which is the organizer of both the Ethical Fashion Show as well as the Greenshowroom. As in every season, the highlight of the Greenshowroom is the Salonshow, at which selected Greenshowroom designers will be presenting their collections.
