ZARA LAUNCHES ONLINE SHOPStarting today, Spanish retailer Zara that belongs to Inditex group offers its complete portfolio online in six countries. Right now, on www.zara.com customers in Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom can order online. During the next months, Inditex plans to expand the online offer to further countries where Inditex operates Zara stores. Inditex Deputy Chairman and CEO Pablo Isla underscored "the strategic significance of this new commercial initiative, which is in keeping with our ongoing effort: to offer our customers the best service possible”.
The user-friendly and well-structured site was created to make online-shopping as easy as possible for customers and is accessible from both computers and mobile handsets. Thus, special items can for example be searched via their item number. Online shoppers can have their items delivered either to their home for € 3,95 or to a store of their choice free of any charge. Standard delivery time is said to take three to five days, an express delivery within 48 hours is also available for € 9,95. Different payment methods such as debit cards, credit cards and PayPal are accepted. Furthermore, customers have the right to return or exchange their items within 30 days of receiving their purchase. For Iphone and Ipad, applications will soon be available which will enable customers to purchase goods through these devices.
