YOOX LAUNCHES SHOESCRIBE.COM

Yoox, the e-commerce group dedicated to fashion shopping that runs the shopping portal Yoox.com, has just launched Shoescribe.com, a new in-season multi-brand online store entirely dedicated to women's shoes.

The website’s assortment is wide-ranging (including from Robert Clergerie, Cesare Paciotti, René Caovilla, Marc Jacobs and Sergio Rossi), featuring everything from top designers to established brands, presented through unique and interesting editorial shoe-related content. The site includes categories such as Stars (daily must haves), a Spotlight section that highlights the latest footwear trends and the editorial section, Newsreel.

Newsreel is inspired by cinema and weaves the worlds of fashion and film to offer a novel perspective on footwear. Interviews with costume designers, shoes featured in films, actor Q&A's and behind the scenes on film-sets provide an entertaining spin on the world of footwear alongside shoe maintenance tips, advice from Ms. Suzie Scribe - the site's resident shoe guru - and just about everything else related to shoes – books, jewelry, design items and shoe-care products among other things.

Shoescribe.com’s most unique feature is its offering of exclusive shoe-related services, available through an annual subscription. Shoescribers will have access to a series of exclusive services that include complimentary shoe repair, a custom-made shoe care kit, free shipping throughout the year, dedicated customer care and other special features including “Cinderella for a Day” (half off a pair of shoes as a birthday gift).

Shoescribe.com is "Powered by Yoox Group" and benefits from the group’s offices and operations in the United States, Europe, Japan, China and Hong Kong, ensuring an exceptional level of customer service: rapid and reliable delivery to more than 100 countries worldwide with over 99% of deliveries on time, easy returns and best-in-class customer care.

The decision to launch the new section was based on Yoox Group’s experience of the last twelve years in business. The online platform registered four million pairs of shoes ordered since 2000, of which one million in 2011, accounting for over one-fourth of the group's net revenue.
