WÖHRL AND KOSSENDEY SPLIT UPIn accordance with the German entrepreneurial family Wöhrl and its supervisory board, Marcus Kossendey, the retailer’s first non-family manager, is stepping down from his position at the Nuremberg-based company, reported TextilWirtschaft.
In his role as Wöhrl’s chairperson since the beginning of 2010, Kossendey has caused a stir with massive reorganization and staff turnovers and, most recently, with a controversial rebate campaign. Former 30%-shareholder Hans-Rudolf Wöhrl had sold his stocks during this period to his brother Gerhard, who was Kossendey’s predecessor.
From January 2012 on, Olivier Wöhrl, chairman of the supervisory board, will take over the reins. He previously served as the family business’ “bridge builder” between Gerhard Wöhrl and Kossendey.
