WESC UNVEILS NEW JAPANESE COLLABORATIONS

WeSC, the street fashion brand from Sweden, has unveiled two new collaborations for fall 2009.

The partners are Japan’s Kazuki Kuraishi and Madsaki. Each designer has produced two pieces, a knit and a t-shirt, with artwork is integrated into the fabric for the first time.

Kazuki Kuraishi is one of the most important and respected designers in the streetwear world and the creative director for Adidas Japan. For Wesc, he designed a men’s knitted sweater made from soft cotton cashmere with jacquard knitted artwork, ribbed cuffs and a ribbed hem. It retails for about €100. The second item is a men’s T-shirt made from cotton jersey with allover discharge prints which retails for €50.

Madsaki, whose work spans media from three-dimensional painting to words, contributed a men’s knitted sweater made from soft cotton cashmere with discharge printed artwork, ribbed cuffs and a ribbed hem. It retails for about €100. The second item is also a men’s T-shirt made from cotton jersey with plastisol printed artwork and retails for €38.
