UNITED LABELS CALLS ALBERT HIRSCH ON BOARD
During the meeting, Boder informed the shareholders about Elfen Service GmbH's set up and the pillars of the next generation strategy that aim at increasing profitability and developing international markets and market shares with a focus on France, Benelux and Eastern Europe.
In a review of the fiscal year, Broder shared the group’s 2011 results in sales of €59.6 million (2010: €58.7m). Its consolidated net income amounted to €0.5m, equivalent to earnings per share of €0.13. As of last year, growth was determined by the key account segment where sales rose by 9% to €44.2m (2010: €40.6m). 2011 revenue drivers were new textile and clothing collections from "Cars 2," "The Smurfs" and "The Simpsons” licenses. This year, the focus is on products from the textile and gift areas of licenses "Filly,” "Spiderman" and the successful "Hello Kitty” that was recently added to the portfolio of United Labels AG. The company now includes about 100 different licenses.
