TOM TAILOR'S RETAIL SEGMENT WITH SALES INCREASE OF 26.0% in Q2 2012After a dynamic start to the year, Tom Tailor continued to grow in Q2 2012. Compared to the prior-year period the company was able to increase sales in the retail segment (including ecommerce) by 26.0%. The segment grew for the fourteenth successive quarter, on a like-for-like basis by 9.0%. The e-shop reported a quarter-on-quarter rise in sales of almost 50%.
In the first six months of 2012, retail sales (including ecommerce) increased by 34.8%. On a like-for-like basis, sales increased by 13.2%.
Currently (end of June 2012) the company operates 269 own retail stores across Europe (compared with 248 at the end of 2011). Tom Tailor intends to open a total of between 60 and 70 retail stores in 2012, primarily in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
