SPORT SCHECK REALIZES RECORD TURNOVERSports apparel and equipment retailer Sport Scheck has reported preliminary calculations that indicate a gross revenue increase of 6%, meaning that the company reached €408 million in sales over the 2011/12 fiscal year, despite the negative industry trend.
As part of its expansion strategy, Sport Scheck has just signed leasing contracts for two more sites in Duesseldorf and Kassel. Both stores are to be opened in 2012. With these new branches, the multi-channel sporting goods supplier will be running 18 locations and employing a staff of 1,500 people at a shopping area of 66,000 sqm. “The expansion policy is a policy that ensures success,” commented Stefan Herzog, Sport Scheck executive board member. The new stores will include iPad points, enabling customers to access the entire online assortment of Sport Scheck.
