S.OLIVER LINES UP NEW MANAGEMENTGerman fashion brand s.Oliver has announced that executive board member Birgitt Gebauer has been promoted to chairwoman of the executive board. Gebauer now supervises the distributing channels of all s.Oliver-named brands and is responsible for the general strategic direction of the company as well as the product, marketing and sourcing divisions. Gebauer, who joined s.Oliver after leaving C&A in September 2011, also supports company owner Bernd Freier in his overall entrepreneurial responsibility.

Meanwhile, former director international wholesale and franchise Mathias Eckert has begun his new position as managing director where he leads the national and international franchise and wholesale distributing channel. The 42-year-old sales professional started his career with s.Oliver in 1995 and has held various roles in sales and distribution within the company.
As of January 1, 2012, the s.Oliver management board consists of Bernd Freier, Birgitt Gebauer, Mathias Eckert, Henry Taubald, Thomas Steinhart and Oliver Hein, who will depart from s.Oliver by the end of July. Armin Fichtel serves as chairman of the board for affiliate brand comma, with Sonja Blömker as managing director.
