O’Neill to Present First Footwear Collection for Fall/ Winter 2013/ 14

O’Neill are to present their first footwear collection for the fall/ winter season 2013/14. The collection, which consists of 5 lines: Lifestyle Casual, Lifestyle California, Lifestyle Capture, Lifestyle Rider and Adventure, was designed and developed by Shoe 52 B.V. - read more about the new partnership with BOS Group at sportswearnet.com.

According to O’Neill the collection illustrates the surf-history of the label by combining heritage, easy details, high quality materials and board-sport culture inspired designs.

Innovative features, such as silicon injected bootlaces to strengthen the lace and prevent it from untying, as well as technical extras such as sealed stitching and microfleece lining are being used. These details characterize O’Neill’s philosophy.

The Lifestyle Casual line stands for casual inspired footwear: traditional constructions yet modern shapes in high quality leather with small applications and warm linings. The Lifestyle Cali series are shoes inspired by the laid back Californian lifestyle. O’Neill says “This is our group of vulcanized products. Product applications inspired by board shorts, wetsuits and neoprene surf boots show that we are talking Surf DNA”.

The Lifestyle Capture series focuses on sneakers with a new direction: A tech approach of surf inspired sneakers. Board- sports inspired footwear is offered by the Lifestyle Rider series, a category which emphasises O’Neill’s surf DNA: specific elements that are normally seen on board shorts, wetsuits and neoprene surf boots are employed in addition to wetsuit textures, zigzag stitching, lycra and neoprene materials.

The Adventure series is inspired by outdoor footwear, and are rich with functional elements. For instance water repellent materials and microfibre linings prevent from getting wet and keep warm. As well as employing specific materials to provide superior insulation. Furthermore the outsole profiles are more pronounced to give better grip and protection in icy conditions.

O’Neill Footwear is presented on fashion fair Bright as well as on GDS.
