MEXX INTERNATIONAL APPOINTS NEW HEAD BUYERLiz Claiborne-owned Mexx International has named Sabine Tramontana Head of Buying and Technical Product Development for Apparel, effective June 1, 2010.
Most recently, Tramontana held the post of Head of Buying and Technical Design, Women Casual for Esprit and in that role was responsible for vendor management, fabric sourcing, technical product development, and the overall quality of the 12 annual women casual collections. She also managed buying roles for Esprit's kidswear and men's casual businesses.
Tramontana, who joins the apparel management team, will report to Jim Novak, Global Product Director for Mexx. "With the addition of Sabine we continue to round out a world class product management team for our Mexx Worldwide business” said Nowak. “Sabine is a well-experienced buying and technical product development leader with an excellent taste level, a passion for quality and a high level of energy.”
Mexx’s contemporary and affordable products currently can be found in over 66 countries throughout Europe, Canada, the Middle East and Asia.
