MBFW BERLIN ANNOUNCES PRELIMINARY SCHEDULE

The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin is confirmed to run from July 4-7 once again at Straße des 17. Juni, which faces the world-famous Siegessäule monument. Collections will be presented to the international industry audience in two separate venues: a catwalk hall and a presentation space.

Among the initial confirmed labels are 1913 Berlin by Yujia Zhai-Petrow, Anja Gockel, Augustin Teboul, Barre Noire, Blacky Dress, Blame, Dawid Tomaszewski, Designer for Tomorrow by Peek & Cloppenburg, Dietrich Emter, Dimitri, EP_Anoui by Eva Poleschinski, Escada Sport, Frida Weyer, Guido Maria Kretschmer, Green Showroom, Hannes Kettritz, Holy Ghost, Hugo by Hugo Boss, Irene Luft, Irina Schrotter, Istanbul Next 2012, Kaviar Gauche, Kilian Kerner, Laurèl, Lena Hoschek, Marc Cain, Marc Philippe Coudeyre, Marcel Ostertag, Michael Sontag, Michalsky, Minx by Eva Lutz, Miranda Konstantinidou, Rebekka Ruétz, Rena Lange, Romanian Designers, Schumacher, Sebastian Ellrich, Sissi Goetze, Sopopular, Steven Tai presented by Mercedes-Benz, Ubi Sunt and Unrath & Strano.

Additionally, Marc Jacobs will select the winner of this year’s young talent award “Designer for Tomorrow by Peek & Cloppenburg” with the help of an expert jury. Applications poured in from all over Europe and five finalists have recently been chosen from fashion and design institutions based in Seville, London, Birmingham and Berlin. They are Leandro Cano, Ramil Makinano, Siddhartha Anselm Meyer, Camilla Salgaard and Laura Williams. The winner, to be unveiled at a later date, will walk away with an extensive support program as well as a solo runway show at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin in January 2013.

The final runway and event schedule will be released at the end of June.
