MANAGEMENT CHANGES AT MARC O’POLOMarc O`Polo has announced that Werner Böck, CEO and majority shareholder, will join the supervisory board after the Annual General Meeting in October 2012. New chairman of the board of directors will be Alexander Gedat, currently CSO. Gedat has joined the company in 1995.
„Alexander Gedat next to me has been decisively involved in the development of the brand and the company”, says CEO and majority shareholder Werner Böck, who has been with Marc O’Polo since 1968. “Together with Andreas Baumgärtner and Jürgen Hahn, who will maintain their positions on the Management Board, he will be responsible for guiding the company. I am convinced that this decision is absolutely right and that Alexander is perfectly fitted for his new position.
Under Werner Böck’s leadership the headquarters of Marc O’Polo AG had been transferred from Stockholm, Sweden, to Stephanskirchen, Germany, in 1997. A highly successful realignment: During the past twelve years the company’s revenues have more than tripled (as of 2012).
The 48-year-old Alexander Gedat has been working for the company for 17 years and as CSO will continue being responsible for sales.
