Las Vegas Shows in full swing today

Although the Liberty, Capsule and Agenda shows opened their doors yesterday afternoon for a half-day session on the Presidents’ Day holiday, today will mark the first full-on day of all the Las Vegas trade shows as Advanstar’s MAGIC Market Week begins its three-day run at 9am. Here is an alphabetical rundown of these must-visit Vegas events:

Agenda
Held at The Sands/Venetian along with the other five shows that are part of the Modern Assembly union of independent shows, this exhibition of streetwear and action sports brands features about 200 exhibitors, including well-known names such as 10 Deep, Crooks & Castles, Ezekiel, Stussy and WeSC. It runs today and tomorrow from 9am to 6pm.

Capsule
Another member of Modern Assembly, Capsule completes its three-day run at its new venue, The Venetian Ballroom, today and tomorrow from 9am to 6pm. Featuring about 220 brands in the progressive and emerging designer categories, Capsule also boasts the Donut Shop cash-and-carry section, a Sundries area dedicated to men’s grooming with lines such as Imperial Barber Products and Above Tree Line, a space that highlights select outdoor brands.

Liberty
Aside from featuring about 390 exhibitors, Liberty returns to the Sands Expo with several special areas including the new Drugstore section of men’s grooming products, Network (a showcase of four companies that use cutting-edge technology to serve the fashion industry), The Foundry (ten US-based manufacturers), Freedom Hall (unique sportswear collections curated by Ouigi Theodore of The Brooklyn Circus), The Blok (high-end street culture brands) and Decades, a selection of “new American Classics” such as Feltraiger and The West is Dead. Liberty runs from 9am to 6pm today and tomorrow.

MAGIC Market Week (LVCC)
Held today from 9am to 7pm and Wednesday and Thursday from 9am to 6pm, this huge exhibit at The Las Vegas Convention Center includes WWDMAGIC (womenswear), FN Platform (footwear), Sourcing @ MAGIC (sourcing) and WSA @ MAGIC (fast, affordable footwear). Hal Rubenstein is the guest fashion director of WWDMAGIC this season.

MAGIC Market Week (Mandalay Bay)
Also running today from 9am to 7pm and Wednesday and Thursday from 9am to 6pm, this “other half” of MAGIC returns to its home at Mandalay Bay Convention Center and, with the exception of the ENKVEGAS show, which spotlights contemporary womenswear, and the Pooltradeshow, which highlights smaller up-and-coming brands, is devoted to offerings for men. The other shows under the Mandalay roof include Project, MAGIC Men’s and MVMT (streetwear). Project has about 200 brands this season and numerous special neighborhoods including The Tents at Project (contemporary and new luxury brands), Tomorrow (emerging designers) and Project Grooming. The official Project party will be on Wednesday night at Marquee.

MRket
Another member of Modern Assembly, MRket will finish its three-day run at The Sands today from 9am to 6pm and tomorrow from 9am to 4pm. Mostly a showcase of traditional/dressy men’s brands, the fair does feature up-and-coming labels in its Vanguards section as well as a special Made in Italy area. Its sportier offerings include Barbour and Bills Khakis.
