KJUS STRENGTHENS ITS TEAM

The Swiss premium ski brand Kjus has announced a set of new key positions. Timo Regier, Head of Global Sales since July 2011, has been appointed to executive management of LK International AG (the company behind the brand) as of 1 January 2012. Regier spent the last 14 years at Callaway Golf Europe, most recently as the Commercial Director of Europe & Northern Africa.

Marc Biver, 60, joined the Kjus Sales team on 9 January 2012 as an advisor and will take charge of distribution and sales for the Spirit Collection, the casual skiwear specialist line. Biver currently sits on the Management Board of LK International AG and will also offer support in various distribution and sales activities. He spent the last 12 years as General Director of the Swiss and German subsidiaries of the sports marketing agency IMG and in 2009 became a partner of the international sports marketing agency Tridem Sports AG, which markets the Alpine & Nordic Skiing World Championships as well as other events. Biver is also President of Swiss Triathlon.

Reto Bechtiger, 36, will take on the newly created role of Sales Manager of Golf at LK International AG as of 1 May 2012. He will be responsible for setting up and structuring Kjus Golf marketing in Europe. His duties include the acquisition and support of European key accounts as well as the preparation of sales programs for Kjus Golf. Over the last five years Bechtiger has been a leading figure in the growth and success of Kjus across the Swiss market as Sales & Marketing Manager. He has a long and proven sales track record for brands such as Bogner and O’Neill.

Mario Messerli, 44, will take on the post of Sales & Marketing Manager of Switzerland as successor to Bechtiger. Messerli has numerous years of experience in sports textiles; he worked for the Peak Performance brand for 17 years and has held the post of Sales Manager for all German-speaking regions of Switzerland since 2004.
