ISKO HOLDS WORKSHOP ON DENIM PROCESSING

Today in San Benedetto del Tronto, Italy, after an intense 3-day work session, Isko ended its second workshop focused on denim treatments under the name “Denim washing and dyeing management processes – a training course from fibre to finished garment”.

The workshop hosted participants from top-end fashion and jeanswear brands, including Diesel, Tom Tailor, Alberto Hosen, S.Oliver, Fornarina, Top Shop UK and Hugo Boss, and was sponsored by denim-focused Denim by Première Vision international trade show.

“We wanted to emphasize once again our commitment to research and innovation by involving an exceptional sponsor such as Denim by Première Vision,” commented Marco Lucietti, Marketing Director at Isko. “We think that exchange and discussion between different players as well as a constant update in technology are essential to create cutting edge solutions that can stir up market interest.”

The venue chosen for this second meeting in 2011 was the Iskoteca, the Isko center in San Benedetto del Tronto, the heart of Italy’s denim district. Designed and opened by Isko last year (see our report), Iskoteca is a multipurpose space with a range of functions, located in an ultra-modern building constructed in line with the most advanced techniques in materials and eco-sustainability.

Participants in this second edition of the seminar will also be guests of ItacLab and Fimatex, two most advanced denim laundries. As Fabio Adami, ItacLab Director, explained: “We have a long-standing commitment to research in developing new washing and dyeing techniques. This future-oriented approach has led us to develop eco-compatible processes that fully reflect the spirit of the initiative.”

Giulio Criscenti, Fimatex Sales and Marketing Manager, commented: “We’re very pleased that we can offer our experience and know-how. We have a production capacity of 20 thousands garments per day, and we are involved in ongoing research in the washing and industrial treatment sector, so we have a wide view of market demands“.
