First Day Report: CPH Vision
It is Copenhagen Fashion Week and of course tradeshow time. We started our first fair day at the Vision tradeshow located in Lokomotivværkstedet. Even though it was cloudy and rainy the weather conditions could not dampen the relaxed mood of the visitors and exhibitors.
“So far we are really happy with how the tradeshow is going,” said a spokesperson from Justor. Patty Borgo, Ready to Fish: “It is our experience that the Scandinavians are, in comparison with the Dutch, a little more reticent when expressing what they think about the collections. We have been to Premium in Berlin and now we are at Vision. Both shows are important for our fashion trade.”
Destroyed styles, skinny jeans and decorative elements were key trends in the denim section. Leopard, snake and flower prints, as well as smaller discreet prints and stripes, will be important in 2014. Bright colours and pastels will not be important.
Three unknown labels to watch are: Ready to Fish, an Amsterdam based womenswear label, which has a cool, laid back and very feminine style. Lukasz Jemiol, a Polish designer, with an unusual denim collection that makes use of exceptional fabrics and interesting designs and Oge&Co., a premium Japanese denim brand, who convince through their excellent fits, silhouettes and colour range.
