FIORUCCI TEAMS UP WITH IKEA

Fiorucci has just launched its newest “Pocket Store” retail project in collaboration with Ikea. As a result, the young women's apparel brand, which is owned by the Edwin Group and produced under a European licensing agreement with Ittierre, (also see our reportage, will open its first multi-brand concept store.

The Fiorucci Pocket Store will open its doors just in time for Easter in Capri and will be followed by a total of 20 store openings per year, aiming to expand in Italy and other European countries as well as through Russia, Asia and the Middle East. Although the project is focused on Fiorucci's trendy and affordable product philosophy, the retail concept promises to maintain a high-quality standard.

The project will evolve according to two different types of stores: The Pocket Store, a smaller store concept, and the Concept Store, measuring up to 200 sqm. Opening a Fiorucci Pocket Store will cost upwards of €250 per sqm.
